Altar Servers

Training session Friday June 2nd at 7pm in Ballinderreen Church. We invite all the boys and girls who are currently serving and those interested in becoming servers to attend for training & practice. It is desirable that an adult (parent or guardian) attend at this session with each child.

Ardrahan Church of Ireland

will host an event, entitled Tales and Tunes, Sat. May 27th at 8.00pm. Admission is by donation with proceeds being shared between Ardrahan Church and COPE Galway. Everyone welcome. Bring a cushion.

The Kinvara Alive Group

Will be distributing a letter and support card to homes in the Kinvara area by May 28th. “Kinvara Alive” raises awareness about wellbeing and mental health in our community”

IFA Meeting

Annual Remembrance Day Mass

Alzheimer Café

Is a safe and relaxed place where people with dementia, their families and health care professionals can come together to talk, share and learn. The Alzheimer Café is a free monthly gathering and anyone affected by dementia is welcome to attend. This month Helplink South will give a talk on personal alarms and security followed by a performance by the Medtronic Chorale. Menlo Park Hotel Thursday 1st June 2pm – 4pm. Kilcolgan Nursing Home Tea Party

Please join us in Kilcolgan Nursing Home for a Tea Party and Sing-Song: to celebrate Nursing Homes Week, Saturday 3rd June at 2.30pm-4.30pm.  Tea, coffee, cakes and plenty of singing.  For the young and young at heart, everyone welcome!

Summer Bridge

at the “Bridge” Weekly Bridge session will be held in Paddy Burke’s Bar, Clarinbridge, commencing on Wednesday 7th June at 7.30pm. All Bridge players are invited to play and proceeds will be donated to local charities.

Gort Community School

Graduation Ceremony: Tuesday 30th May at 7.30pm Sharp. Commencing with Graduation Mass celebrated by Canon Tommy Marrinan, followed by presentation of Scrolls to Leaving Cert Students and light refreshments for all.

Evening of traditional song in Mary’s Church, Claddagh: Sunday, 4th June at  8.30pm. Experience two cultures coming together through the magic of music. Loop Hearing Aid System

loopThis system is now installed in St. Colman’s Church, Ballinderreen, St. Colman’s Church, Kinvara and St. Joseph’s Church, Kinvara. However, this system will not be available in St. Kieran’s Church, Doorus as the Church is too small for it to be effective.

In order to avail of this facility please switch your Hearing Aid to the ‘T’ position.

Induction loop systems are invaluable in assisting hearing aid users to understand spoken language, particularly in situations where there is background noise. Hopefully, this will be of great benefit to all hearing aid users.
