Parish Youth Choir Meeting

A meeting to discuss the arrangements for a new Parish Youth Choir (3rd class-Leaving Cert.) will take place on Wednesday 28th January at 8pm in the Pastoral Centre meeting room (old convent). All are welcome.

Diocesan Pastoral Centre Collection

This weekend: there will be a second collection at all masses to support the Diocesan Pastoral Centre. This collection funds initiatives and expert ministries’ promoting parenting and family life. It also provides resources for ministries’ in support of people who work to promote the faith life of the parishes.

Candlemas

Sunday 1st of February: blessing of the candles also known as Candlemas.
Candles will be blessed after Sunday morning masses.

Galway Novena

The Galway Solemn Novena takes places

Monday 9th-Tuesday 17th of February.

There are six sessions each day as follows:

Monday-Saturday: 7.45, 11:00, 13.10, 15.30, 19.30, 21.00.
Sunday: 9:00, 10.30, 12.30, 16.30, 18.30, 20.00.
Kinvara Defibrillator project

The AGM of Kinvara Defibrillator project will take  place on Thurs the 29th of January at 8pm in Parish Office Meeting Room (beside St Josephs Church, Kinvara).
All Cardiac first responders past, present and interested in joining are requested to attend as this is an important meeting in which we will be discussing the discontinuation of the on-call phone and adopting a new approach.
It is hoped that by ending the on call roster that there will be a greater uptake in training courses and recertification and that all previously trained volunteers will come back on board.

Congratulations to Seamount College

Congratulations to Seamount College Senior Camogie team who are now Connacht Senior A Champions after their victory against St. Brigid’s Loughrea in Ballindereen on Tuesday last. Well done to all involved. We wish them the best of luck in the semi final on Saturday February 14th against the Ulster Champions and this match will be held in Kinvara. Please support if you can!
