DARKNESS INTO LIGHT

KINVARA Saturday morning 6th May, Kinvara, will host its third Darkness into Light 5k walk/run at 4.15 am from St Joseph’s N.S. for Pieta House (Centre for Prevention of Suicide and Self-harm).  This is a worldwide symbolic fundraising event; walking or running from darkness to light to give HOPE. You can avail of Early Bird registration (adults €20) at Londis, Kinvara & Supervalu Gort on the 1st April 12noon to 2pm or online up to 31st March at  www.pieta.ie. Annual KBSC Table Quiz: Fri. 7th April at 8:30pm in the Merriman – 8 rounds, raffle & finger food! This is always a great night out and all money raised goes towards loan repayment on boats purchased last year. These boats allow families to enjoy sailing without having to purchase their own boat upfront.

The Alzheimer Café

Loop Hearing Aid System

loopThis system is now installed in St. Colman’s Church, Ballinderreen, St. Colman’s Church, Kinvara and St. Joseph’s Church, Kinvara. However, this system will not be available in St. Kieran’s Church, Doorus as the Church is too small for it to be effective.

In order to avail of this facility please switch your Hearing Aid to the ‘T’ position.

Induction loop systems are invaluable in assisting hearing aid users to understand spoken language, particularly in situations where there is background noise. Hopefully, this will be of great benefit to all hearing aid users.
